Dinah Massie 713-302-3558 Total Freeway Closure at IH-610 the South Loop at Telephone Rd/Woodridge Condition is expected to block all lanes through the rush hour Houston TranStar officials are advising the public that all lanes of IH-610 the South Loop are blocked because of a hazardous material spill. An 18-wheeler lost fuel and motor oil; cleanup is expected to last through the morning rush period. A cleanup crew will arrive at about 7 AM. All traffic is being diverted off the freeway at the Telephone Road/Woodridge exit ramp. Eastbound traffic is backed up from US 288 to the west to SH 225 to the east. Traffic is also slowing somewhat on IH-45 and SH 288 northbound. Motorists are strongly advised to take another route or choose a different departure time if they plan to travel in that area. -30- |
