US 59 Exit Ramp from I-10 East Freeway closed |

August 19, 2013 Media Contacts: Dinah Massie Danny Perez Houston TranStar Texas Department of Transportation 713-881-3244 713-802-5077 Lane Closure at IH-10 East Freeway Eastbound at US-59 North TxDOT Maintenance Section on site Transportation officials are notifying the public that an 18-wheeler traveling eastbound at IH-10 the East Freeway onto the US-59 northbound exit ramp has overturned and is blocking the ramp. Diesel fuel and the big rig’s load of tile must be offloaded before the 18-wheeler can be uprighted. The estimated clearance time may extend into the rush period, so the traveling public is encouraged to consider an alternate route or alter their departure time. Houston TranStar is a consortium of four government agencies that coordinate and enhance transportation and emergency management services, responding to incidents and emergencies in Harris County and beyond.
