Media Contact: Dinah Massie 713.881.3244 I-10 East Eastbound at US 59 Eastex - Northbound Ramp Closed Travelers are urged to choose another route or departure time Houston TranStar officials are advising the public that an overturned heavy truck with a lost load is blocking the ramp from I-10 East eastbound onto US 59 Eastex northbound. Because of the lost load, the incident is anticipated to last into the rush period, so travelers are urged to consider taking an alternate route or changing their travel times. Houston TranStar is a consortium of four government agencies that coordinate and enhance transportation and emergency management services, responding to incidents and emergencies in Harris County and beyond. Sharing their resources to serve area residents are: the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Harris County, Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) and the City of Houston. -30- |
