Media Contact: Dinah Massie 713.881.3244 Construction Closes Two Lanes of the North Loop westbound at Ella Travelers are urged to choose another route or time Houston TranStar officials are advising westbound travelers on the I-610 North Loop that two main freeway lanes at Ella are closed for emergency pavement repairs to the bridge decking on the overpass. The repair work is expected to last through the afternoon rush period. Travelers are urged to consider taking an alternate route or changing their departure times to avoid significant delays. Houston TranStar is a consortium of four government agencies that coordinate and enhance transportation and emergency management services, responding to incidents and emergencies in Harris County and beyond. Sharing their resources to serve area residents are: the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Harris County, Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) and the City of Houston. -30- |
