Beltway Eastbound at US 59 Frontage Rd Travelers are urged to choose another route or time Houston TranStar officials are notifying eastbound North Beltway travelers that the frontage road from the North Beltway to US 59 is blocked by a major accident that is expected to last through the afternoon rush period. Exiting traffic at Lee Road is either turning right (south) or forced back onto the Beltway beyond the accident. Travelers are urged to consider taking an alternate route or changing their departure times. Houston TranStar is an alliance of four government agencies that coordinate and enhance transportation and emergency management services, responding to incidents and emergencies in Harris County and beyond. Sharing their resources to serve area residents are: the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Harris County, Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) and the City of Houston. -30- |
