Main Traveling public urged to take an alternate route Houston TranStar officials are notifying area residents that all lanes are closed on IH-45 North Freeway northbound at N. Main because of an overturned heavy truck. Because the situation is expected to remain until about 5 p.m., travelers are urged to use either US 59 Northbound or IH-610 as alternate routes. Traffic is backed up to Scott St. on IH-45. Real-time speed information and camera views are available at http://traffic.houstontranstar.org/layers/. Houston TranStar is a collaboration between four government agencies that coordinate and enhance transportation and emergency management services, responding to incidents and emergencies in Harris County and beyond. Sharing their resources to serve area residents are: the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Harris County, Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) and the City of Houston. -30- |
