Overnight construction in Memorial Park affects eastbound traffic |

Dinah Massie 713.881.3244 Houston TranStar Advises Travelers of Ongoing Overnight Construction Near Memorial Park Overnight construction in area could delay traffic (October 19, 2009) Houston TranStar officials advise travelers in the Memorial Park area that the eastbound lanes of Memorial and Woodway drives from IH-610 to North Picnic Lane will be closed for overnight construction from 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. Construction begins today and will continue through Thursday, October 22. Drivers should take Westcott off I-10 to access Memorial Drive. Westbound traffic will not be affected. Houston TranStar is a collaboration between four government agencies that coordinate and enhance transportation and emergency management services, responding to incidents and emergency in Harris County and beyond. Sharing their resources to serve area residents their agencies are the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Harris County, Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) and the City of Houston. |
