HOUSTON TRANSTAR INKS DEAL WITH KHOU TV 11, KTRK TV 13, KPRC TV 2, KRIV FOX 26.. |

(Houston, Texas) --- Today, Jack Whaley, Director of Houston TranStar, formally announced an agreement with KHOU TV 11, KTRK TV 13, KPRC TV 2 and KRIV FOX 26 to broadcast Houston TranStar’s Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) video images on the air. In the agreement, KHOU TV 11, KTRK TV 13, KPRC TV 2 and KRIV FOX 26 obtained a non-exclusive, right, license and privile ge to use Houston TranStar’s Closed Circuit Television video images and Houston TranStar’s Logo for the purposes of obtaining and sharing transportation related information to their viewership base. In exchange, KHOU TV 11, KTRK TV 13, KPRC TV 2 and KRIV FOX 26 has agreed to give voice and visual credit to Houston TranStar for sharing the information, air (4) four Public Service Announcements (PSAs) per month, and provide a nominal fee for infrastructure modifications. Currently, the Texas Department of Transportation, a valued Houston TranStar consortium partner, maintains more than 200 Close Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV) on Houston’s freeways. These CCTV Cameras are used to identify and verify incidents and accidents on I-IO Katy Freeway, I-10 East Freeway, I-45 Gulf Freeway, I-45 North Freeway, US-290 NW Freeway, US 59 SW Freeway, I-610 Loop, SH 288, SH225 and Beltway 8. Jack Whaley, Director of Houston TranStar said, These agreements are a testament to our partners commitment to establishing public and private partnerships.
