Wooten Katy Freeway Public Information Officer 281-589-5852 /713-806-3318 MEDIA ALERT August 7, 2003 IH-10 Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program Westbound Freeway Closure “Mainlane Closures Saturday Night between Mason Road and the Grand Parkway” (Houston, Texas) --- At 9:00 pm Saturday, August 9, TxDOT will be closing the westbound mainlanes of Katy Freeway between Mason Road (SH 99) and the Grand Parkway to complete the asphalt overlay on the mainlanes in that area of the project. Outbound traffic will be detoured onto the IH-10 westbound frontage road lanes at the Mason Road exit ramp and allowed to re-enter the freeway just west of Grand Parkway (SH 99). The freeway will be re-opened to traffic at 10:00 am Sunday, August 10.
